Boating is fun so long as everyone on board feels safe. To be able to feel safe in a marine environment one needs knowledge and experience.
It’s not about the Skipper being the only person on board having all the knowledge; that’s a little like having all your eggs in one basket! If he falls overboard is there anyone else on board who knows how to turn the boat around to pick him up? It is surely in his, and everyone else’s interest, that there is someone who could do that.
There are countless situations on board a boat where, in the name of safety, there is more than one person who knows what to do.
After over 50 years of being closely associated with the sea Mike Pignéguy has the experience and qualifications in dinghies, yachts (both power and sail), superyachts and merchant ships, to show you the way into safer, and therefore, more enjoyable boating for you, your family and friends.
Mike’s courses are easily tailor-made for you and your current level of competence and to what you want to achieve.
As a qualified Coastguard Boating Education Service (CBES) and RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Instructor, Mike can take you all the way from Boatmaster to Ocean Yachtmaster if qualifications are what you need. Courses may be on your own boat, a chartered boat, or Mike’s own Cyclades Beneteau 44.3. Course numbers can be from 1 to 5 and the course length may be from one day to 5 days, something that will be determined by your requirements.
